## About

At a young age, Edgar was going from the hot shop floor, back to the bead making table whenever there was open space. Being this young and working out of public schools, he was not able to practice pipe art, but watched YouTube videos and read books of borosilicate techniques to develop an understanding of the different types of glass and pipe culture. Since the beginning, he picked up a love for hot sulpting glass. Through many years of practice, Valentine has developed a voice in glass sculpture that speaks history, culture, and expression. As pipe art has always been a high interest in Edgar's glass journey, he did not have access to hollow borosilicate until post pandemic. Once Valentine was able to setup a torch and kiln, he dove heavy into bridging the gap between his hot shop and flameworking skills. As he still focuses on sculpture, you can also find pipe art, and lighting in the Valentine collections.
